Metro Alumni
MetroLALSA is not only a law student organization; it is a regional legal community that continues beyond graduation. Alumni remain part of a broader network of students, graduates, attorneys, and legal professionals across New York and New Jersey who are committed to connection, representation, and collective advancement.
Through MetroLALSA, alumni can continue building relationships with peers and professionals who share a commitment to empowering Latina/o students and attorneys. These connections help create a stronger legal community where support does not end at graduation.
MetroLALSA offers alumni a place to reconnect, collaborate, celebrate one another’s growth, and remain engaged with the future of the profession.
If you are interested in serving as a mentor for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, please email us at metrolalsaorg@gmail.com

Continued involvement in the Latina/o legal community
Giving Back & Building the Future
MetroLALSA’s work is strengthened by alumni who continue to lead, serve, and invest in the next generation. Alumni help carry forward the organization’s mission by supporting students, participating in events, sharing professional opportunities, and helping create spaces where Latina/o law students feel seen, prepared, and empowered.
Giving back can take many forms. Some alumni mentor students. Others speak on panels, help students make professional connections, share job or internship opportunities, or support MetroLALSA’s programming and community-building efforts. Each contribution helps expand access and strengthen the pipeline of Latina/o leadership in the law.
By staying involved, alumni help ensure that MetroLALSA remains a source of support from law school to legal practice and beyond.
Alumni can give back by:
Mentoring current law students
Speaking at panels or professional development events
Sharing career opportunities and resources
Supporting MetroLALSA initiatives
Helping build a stronger, more representative legal profession
